LA-based ONYRMRK stole the show with gender-defying details that stood out in chic + neutral clothing.

Although Designers Rwang Pam and Mark Kim showcased only eight looks, it was all they needed to get their strong and refined message across of “forgiving the past to begin to have compassion for oneself and express oneself freely.”
The slightly baggy trousers with intended cut-outs at the hemline are just right for any boot (heeled or not) moment to be had. In this stylish entourage of ensembles, we saw in each piece the age-old 'devil is in the details’ decree come to life most spectacularly.

There is one specific piece that stood out the most throughout the collection, a white grandfather-collared shirt, re-done with a draw-string waist. This piece single-handedly represents a new age in the production of men’s shirting. So elegant and makes just enough of an impact that the rest of the pieces to be worn with it should be very understated because the shirt is just that good on its own.

Other stand-out pieces from the collection included a brilliant beige Mao-collar jacket and two other shirts with “bow-tie-esque” laces going down the front of the shirt. Extravagant extremities to neckties and attached handkerchiefs were also a beautiful finishing touch to the collection. →

Overall, the collection answered any questions the designers or anyone else may have had previously regarding how to navigate their understandings of masculinity and femininity, sensuality, and sexuality, as the designers cited as their inspiration. The soft approach and details of this collection are a gentle nudge in the direction of how to properly blur the lines of men’s and womenswear with easy experimentation.

The genius execution of ONYRMYRK’s Spring/Summer 2022 collection feels right for now and beyond, as we see many unapologetically fabulous gentlemen wearing things that are similar to this on the streets of New York, Paris, Amsterdam, Madrid, London, Berlin, and beyond.
